Hi! I’m Heesun Kim.

Y2Kxtraining is Yoga To Kickboxing Cross Training. Yoga & Kickboxing embodies the two extremes of my personality.

In our training, we focus on sustainable weight loss, strength training, core & balance, flexibility & mobility, injury prevention, post-rehab fitness, as well as nutrition.


My clients range from early 20s to late 70s. What my clients and I have in common is we work hard, but are also down-to-earth and easy-going. I am best described as a nurturing & compassionate yet straight-forward, no fuss trainer. I love efficiency and am result-driven.


For the past 20 years, I repeatedly experimented with working out and eating (or not eating) as I struggled with weight and body image since my teenage years. Joined my first gym in 2000 and hated it – only to learn years later that the gym and the yoga mat was the very thing that kept my sanity in check and my type-A persona leveled.


In 2011, I started by teaching part-time.

In 2013, I left the 9-to-5 rat-race.


I followed my passion to discover life unfolding in front of my eyes.

Fun facts!

  • Post-knee operation in 2011, I ran a 5K & 10K in 2016. I still run weekly to this day.

  • I don’t know how to swim. I can hold my nose and float.

  • I can’t walk and drink water at the same time.

  • I am an Aries.

  • ISFJ and/or ENFJ Personality.

  • A “Highly Sensitive Person” (HSP), and an outgoing introvert.

  • I workout to eat, and eat to train.

  • Power Yoga is my all time favorite group class to teach.
